STUDY PERMIT
The study permit issued by the immigration ministry allows you to study at designated learning institutions in Canada. You may also need to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an Electronic travel authorization (eTA). Generally, if study permit is approved the visa is issued along with. You must have a study permit if your program of studies is longer than 6 months. There is a faster processing of study permit as well through the Student Direct Stream if you are a legal resident of India, Pakistan, China, Morocco, the Philippines, Senegal and Vietnam. POST GRADUATE WORK PERMIT
The post-graduation work permit is granted if you graduated from a designated learning institution (DLI) as an international student in Canada. The PGWP authorize recent international students to live and work in Canada after their studies are complete. Graduation from a DLI doesn’t automatically make you eligible for a PGWP. SPOUSAL OPEN WORK PERMIT
An international student studying full-time with a valid study permit can apply for an open work permit for their spouse or common-law-partner. This enables your spouse or partner to work while you study. Your spouse can apply for the work permit before or after they arrive in Canada.
