FAMILY SPONSORSHIP

The Family Class Sponsorship Program reunites family members in Canada.

If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident you may sponsor the following relatives:

• your spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner ( inland or outland sponsorship)

• dependent children (biological or adopted)

• parents and grandparents

• other relatives

​

To Sponsor your family or relatives you must be:

• at least 18 years old

• A Canadian Citizen or permanent resident

• Be able to prove that you have enough income to provide basic needs of the person that you are sponsoring.

• Live in Canada or provide evidence, if you are Canadian citizen, that you will live in Canada when your sponsored relative becomes a permanent resident
